Why Choose TONFUL Heat Shrink Tubing
Premium Cross-Linked Materials
We utilize advanced radiation cross-linking technology to manufacture our polyolefin tubing. This gives the tubing exceptional thermal stability, chemical resistance, and physical strength, ensuring it shrinks quickly and evenly without tearing, even over sharp solder joints.
Dual-Wall Adhesive for IP68 Waterproofing
For extreme outdoor, automotive, or marine environments, our Dual-Wall Heat Shrink features a layer of hot-melt adhesive inside. As the tubing shrinks, the adhesive melts and flows into every microscopic void, creating a permanent, IP68-rated waterproof and anti-corrosion seal.
Versatile Shrink Ratios
We offer tubing with shrink ratios from standard 2:1 up to an incredible 4:1 or 6:1. High shrink ratios are perfect for sliding over large bulky connectors and then shrinking down tightly to seal the much smaller wire attached to them.
Strict UL & RoHS Certification
Safety is non-negotiable. Our tubing is strictly tested to meet UL 224 VW-1 flame retardant standards and is 100% RoHS and REACH compliant, making it fully eligible for export to strict European and North American markets.
Custom Cutting & Printing Services
Stop wasting labor time cutting tubes manually. TONFUL offers precision automated cutting services, delivering perfectly sized pieces ready for your assembly line. We also provide clear, durable custom printing (company logos, wire gauges, or barcodes) directly onto the tubing.
Massive Inventory & Fast Global Shipping
As a direct manufacturer, we maintain a massive inventory of standard black and colored tubing in continuous spools (Tape & Reel) and 1-meter sticks. This allows us to fulfill bulk wholesale orders with incredibly fast lead times, keeping your production lines running smoothly.
Professional Selection Guide
Step 1: Choose Single Wall vs. Dual Wall
Select Single Wall for basic electrical insulation, wire bundling, and color-coding in dry environments. Select Dual Wall (Adhesive-Lined) if the connection will be exposed to moisture, automotive fluids, or severe vibrations, requiring a complete waterproof seal.
Step 2: Determine the Shrink Ratio
The shrink ratio (e.g., 2:1, 3:1) indicates how much the tube will shrink. A 2:1 tube shrinks to half its original diameter. Choose higher ratios (3:1 or 4:1) if the tubing must pass over a large connector before shrinking onto a much smaller wire.
Step 3: Measure the Diameter Correctly
Always look at the "Supplied ID" (Inner Diameter before shrinking) and the "Recovered ID" (Inner Diameter after shrinking). A good rule of thumb is to choose a Supplied ID that is 20% to 30% larger than your wire/connector to ensure it slides on easily before heating.
Step 4: Select the Right Material & Temperature
Standard cross-linked polyolefin (-55°C to 125°C) covers 90% of applications. However, for extreme heat environments (like aerospace or engine blocks), you must specify advanced materials like PTFE (Teflon) which can withstand up to 260°C.
Step 5: Check Voltage and Flammability Requirements
Standard tubing is rated for 600V. If you are insulating medium or high-voltage copper busbars in switchgears, you must select our specialized Busbar Heat Shrink Tubing (rated for 1kV, 10kV, or 35kV). Always confirm if your project requires VW-1 flame-retardant or Halogen-Free properties.
Step 6: Specify the Packaging Format
Tell us how your factory prefers to receive the product. We offer continuous spools (perfect for automated wire processing machines), standard 1-meter or 1.2-meter straight sticks, or pre-cut custom mini-pieces packed in bulk bags.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have compiled some common questions from our clients. If your question isn’t included here, our customer service is always available to help. We’d love to talk with you.
Q1: What is the difference between Single Wall and Dual Wall heat shrink?
Single wall is just the polyolefin tube, used for basic electrical insulation. Dual wall has an inner layer of hot-melt adhesive. When heated, the tube shrinks and the adhesive melts, completely encapsulating the wire joint to make it 100% waterproof.
Q2: What does a "3:1 Shrink Ratio" mean?
A 3:1 shrink ratio means the tubing will shrink to one-third of its original supplied inner diameter when fully heated. For example, a tube supplied with a 9mm inner diameter will shrink down to a 3mm inner diameter.
Q3: How do I know what size heat shrink tubing to buy?
Measure the diameter of the wire or connector you need to cover. Choose a tubing size where the “Supplied Inner Diameter” is about 20% to 30% larger than your object, and the “Fully Recovered (Shrunk) Inner Diameter” is smaller than your object to ensure a tight grip.
Q4: Can I use a lighter to shrink the tubing?
While a lighter might work in an absolute emergency, we strongly recommend against it. Open flames cause uneven heating, can leave carbon soot on the tubing, and may melt or burn the insulation. Always use a professional industrial heat gun or an infrared heat shrink oven for uniform, safe shrinkage.
Q5: Can TONFUL print our company logo or part numbers on the tubing?
Yes! We offer highly durable, custom hot-stamp or laser printing services. We can print text, numbers, barcodes, and logos on continuous spools or pre-cut pieces to help with your wire identification and branding.
