How to Replace a Standard Blade Fuse

  1. Switch off the circuit. Turn off the ignition and isolate power according to the vehicle service procedure.
  2. Identify the failed fuse. Inspect the element and confirm the protected circuit.
  3. Match the specification. Use the same fuse type, current rating and adequate voltage rating. Never increase amperage to stop repeated opening.
  4. Inspect the holder. Check for heat damage, corrosion or loose terminals before installing a replacement.
  5. Insert and test. Push the fuse fully into the compatible holder, restore power and confirm normal operation.

Information for an RFQ

Include these details when requesting pricing:

  • Required amperage ratings and quantity per rating
  • Loose, bagged, blister-card or assortment-box packaging
  • Private-label, barcode and printed-insert requirements
  • Required standards, test reports and recognition documents
  • Annual forecast, sample quantity and delivery destination
Safety note: A fuse protects wiring and equipment only when its type and rating match the circuit design. Investigate the cause of a blown fuse before replacement.

Standard Blade Fuse Frequently Asked Questions

What amperage ratings are available?

The supplied ADATC-PC catalog lists 1A, 2A, 3A, 5A, 7.5A, 10A, 15A, 20A, 25A, 30A, 35A and 40A versions.

Can these fuses be used in 12V and 24V vehicles?

They are rated up to 32V DC, so they may be evaluated for compatible 12V and 24V circuits. The fuse type, current rating, holder and complete circuit requirements must still match.

Does fuse color determine the correct replacement?

Color helps identify the current rating, but buyers should also verify the printed amperage, physical fuse type and voltage rating. Do not rely on color alone.

Are standard and mini blade fuses interchangeable?

No. Standard and mini blade fuses have different body dimensions and holder interfaces. Use the physical format specified by the fuse block.

What is the breaking capacity?

The supplied catalog lists a breaking capacity of 1,000A at 32V DC.

Can TONFUL supply custom assortments and packaging?

Yes. TONFUL supports wholesale quantities, mixed-amperage kits, labels and private packaging subject to order requirements.
