Ideally, a 2D drawing (PDF or CAD) detailing wire lengths, gauges (AWG), colors, and the specific connector/terminal part numbers (the BOM). If you don’t have drawings, clear photos with measurements or a physical sample are also perfectly acceptable.
Q2: Can you use original brand connectors (like Molex or TE), or only your own?
We can do both! If your project strictly requires original brand components, we can source them through our established supply chains. However, choosing TONFUL’s drop-in equivalent connectors will dramatically reduce your costs and shorten production lead times.
Q3: What is the lead time for a custom wire harness prototype?
For harnesses using standard wires and our in-house TONFUL connectors, prototypes can typically be completed in 3 to 7 working days. If special original-brand components need to be imported, the lead time will depend on their availability.
Q4: How do you guarantee the crimp quality of the terminals?
We use high-precision automated crimping applicators. Our quality control team regularly performs “Pull-Force Testing” to ensure the wire will not pull out of the terminal, and we conduct cross-sectional microscopic analysis to verify the copper strands are perfectly compressed without air gaps.
Q5: Is there a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for custom harnesses?
We are highly supportive of new projects and offer very flexible MOQs. For standard materials, we can do small pilot runs. The MOQ usually only becomes a factor if your design requires us to purchase a massive minimum reel of a highly specialized, non-standard wire color or gauge.
